Pastor Phil Williams is the founder and Pastor of Fresh Wind Christian Center Church of Memphis, TN, a growing ministry which
expanded from a weekly Bible Study held at the former Mason YMCA in Memphis. The Bible study was regularly attended by residents
of the YMCA until it closed in 2009. The ministry continued in the gymnasium of Buntyn Presbyterian church. Pastor Phil
is a second generation pastor, following the path of his father, the late Pastor Monroe W. Williams, Sr. Prior to becoming
an ordained minister, Pastor Phil, an accomplished pianist/organist served as Minister of Music in his father’s church
as well as other various churches in Memphis and the surrounding areas. He has trained musicians and choirs for more than
25 years and his special gifting in music ministry has afforded him the opportunity to minister alongside many of America’s
premier gospel and mainstream music artists. He is a published songwriter.
Prior to founding Fresh Wind Christian Center, Pastor Phil served as Senior Pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Covington,
TN (2001-2008). Pastor Phil received a BS, BA Degree in Marketing from Christian Brothers University. Pastor Phil also holds
a Secondary Education Certification and a Master’s Degree in Theology, Christian Education Studies from Union University.
He is a 2012 Graduate of Leadership Memphis. He plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership in the fall of 2019.
He has served his community by working with various non-profit organizations such as United Way of the Mid-South. He proudly
served in the United States Navy as a Seabee in a Construction Engineer Battalion. He has served on task forces in the community
through his Fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. Phil is a bi-vocational pastor and is a Project Team Lead for Mimeo Digital
Printing. He is also married to Toni (Lincoln) Williams and is the proud father of their twin daughters Candace and Carmen.
